Certified students include:
Jacques Rogers, Angelina Woods, Tikiya Pettway, Walter Bennett, Talasia McDuffie, Empris Williams, Kaithlin McNeil, and JaKya Williams, with JaKayla Portis also earning her certification (not pictured).
This accomplishment means these students are now fully qualified to enter the food-service industry anywhere in the United States. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to preparing for real-world success.

The Camden School of Arts & Technology Robotics Team, The Avengers, attended a robotics competition on November 18, 2025, at Francis Marion High School, hosted by UWA’s Black Belt Institute and Knuckle Sandwich Robotics.
The Avengers were honored with the prestigious Judges' Award, recognizing their creativity, innovation, and overall excellence. They also placed as one of the top finalists in the team challenge.
During the event, The Avengers teamed up with the Blue Wolves Robotics Team from Mountain Brook Junior High School, showcasing outstanding teamwork and collaboration. Additionally, The Avengers were among the teams that scored the highest number of points for the entire competition.
Congratulations to The Avengers for their exceptional performance and accomplishments!

The 2025 Alabama School Report Card was released to the public yesterday. We are proud of the hard work and improvement that our students and staff continue to demonstrate. Teamwork makes the dream work.

It was a pleasure to have our principals present at the Alabama Association of School Boards 2025 Fall Conference Leadership for Achievement. Author Visits F.S. Ervin
Tangular A. Irby is a well-known author, educator, and quilter. She is the author of the children’s books Pearl and Her Gee’s Bend Quilt, and Charles and His Gee’s Bend Quilt. On October 09, 2024, she and her aunt Mary Leathea Pettway gave an awesome presentation and books to F.S. Ervin Elementary School Library students. Mary Leathea Pettway has been a Gee’s Bend quilter for over 40yrs and displayed many of her quilts for the students to view. F.S. Ervin Elementary School Library would like to thank Tangular Irby and Mary Leathea Pettway for their presentation to our school. We also would like to thank our wonderful sponsor Black Belt Treasures.

Today, Ms. Blackmon's Fourth Graders started using "Doubles" by completing Task 1. With the help of the activities found in their Fun Zone curriculum, they were able to use pictures, words, and numbers to demonstrate the meaning of doubling.
