Parent Day

October was Alabama’s Statewide Parent Visitation Month.  During the month of October and November, schools across the district invited parents to join teachers, administrators, and other parents at their perspective schools for “Homes and School Partnerships: Breaking Barriers to Learning” events. This statewide celebration was planned especially for parents and families and gave them an opportunity to see what their child is learning and to meet their child’s teachers. Additionally, they had fun!

Parents and families experienced social distancing fun, by participating in drive - by parent parades, drive - up and park to outdoor programs, walk up to an outdoor parent fair, virtual Zoom meetings, door prizes, and refreshments.  Overall, the event was a success.  The planning and results were evident that  “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work for All.”
