As summer breaks begin to draw to a close, we write to remind you that the 2024 application for the Coca-Cola Scholarship (open to high school students who will graduate during the 2023-2024 academic year) will be available from our website August 1 through October 2, 2023. Note that we have an earlier deadline this year!

We would like to congratulate the following members of our faculty that completed Year 1 of APlus training. These educators attended 4 days of intense hands-on training in Trussville, AL with some of the best educators across the state of Alabama. These faculty members are: Mr. Jeffrey Dean (Government/Economics & College Board), Ms.Clanlethia Johnson (AP ELA Seminar), Mr. Thomas Betts (History), Mrs. Tucker (AP Biology), Mrs. Shelisa Thompson (Algebra 2 and AP Pre-Cal), Ms. Cristy Johnson (Algebra 1), Mrs. Forrestine Talton (Geometry), and Ms. Lizze Thompson (AP Computer Science Principles).

In order to meet the Summer Learning attendance requirements/guidelines each scholar is expected to attend school each day. The dates and times of Summer Learning is as follows:
Wilcox Central High School- June 5-29, 2023 (Monday-Thursday) and July 5-7, 2023 (Wednesday-Friday)
Summer Learning hours for students are 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Attention scholars and parents:
June 7th is the last day to turn in summer school applications. We recommend students who have failed any courses register for summer school. Retaking failed courses during the regular school year puts students at risk of falling behind and potentially not graduating on time. This is an excellent opportunity for students and it is our sincere hope that you encourage your student to register.
Applications are available in the front office and must be turned in tomorrow by 10:00 a.m.
Attention scholars and parents:
Physicals will be held today at 1:00. All paperwork must have parent signatures before physicals can be administered.
